Mary L. Kimberlin, 77, died Aug. 18, 2006, at Columbine Manor Nursing Home in Salida.
Mrs. Kimberlin was born June 14, 1929, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Eduardo and Lasara (Sanchez) Brown.
Mrs. Kimberlin married Ernest C. Kimberlin April 14, 1947, in Taos, N.M. She was a resident of the Poncha Springs/Salida area for more than 60 years.
She worked at Salida High School for 23 years as head cook. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and First Christian Church.
Mrs. Kimberlin enjoyed arrowhead hunting and rock hounding. She especially enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald (Darlene) Kimberlin of Denver and Ronald P. (Kathy) LaCoe of West Fargo, N.D.; daughters, Jean Holman of Salida and Paula Svincek of Maryland; sister, Dalores Chavez of Montibello, Calif. and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ernest.
Memorial services are set for 10:30 a.m. Aug. 25, 2006, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Poncha Springs Cemetery.
