Joe D. Vasquez affectionately known as "Lolo" entered into eternal peace with the Lord April 24, 2012. Lolo was born in Pueblo, Colorado April 1, 1936. He was co-owner, along with his beloved wife of 53 years, Marge Vasquez, of the Bean Bandit Mexican restaurant for the past 46 years where his two sons, Derek and Darin eventually joined them. Lolo leaves behind his loving wife Marge, his cherished sons Derek (Tami) and Darin (Vikki) as well as his precious grandson's: Chance, Chadd, Cobie, Caleb, and baby Collin. He is also survived by three brothers, his very close family-in-laws: Art (Joyce) Manzanares, Edith (Frank) Castro and JoAnn Hernandez in addition to many loved nieces and nephews. He also leaves many friends, loyal patrons and valued staff. Lolo was preceded in death by his beloved grandson Joey Michael Vasquez and his much loved and spoiled pet Papas, as well as his parents, two sisters, two brothers, and his father, mother-in-laws and a brother-in-law. Lolo was a dedicated supporter for many years to both Divine Redeemer and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Lolo was an inventor and designer. He took great pride in designing their three restaurants as well as all of his own equipment. He has left many treasured memories of the unique talents he possessed. We know that he is at peace with our heavenly father and one day we will join him. Prayer service for Lolo will be Friday, April 27, 2012 at 7:00pm, Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00am. Both services will be held at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1520 E. Yampa Street. Per Lolo's request no public viewing will be held. As per Lolo's request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pikes Peak Hospice or Divine Redeemer Catholic Church.
