Elaine Joyce Osborne Bradley, 79, died on April 7 at her daughter’s home in Craig. She was born on Aug. 15, 1932, in Denver and was raised and attended school there. She married Willard M. Bradley on July 8, 1950, in Denver. They lived in Denver until October of 1960 when they moved to Leadville. Over the years they became the parents of 14 children. Bradley was a homemaker but also worked in a hat factory, for Goodwill and in the laundry at the Vail Marriott. In later years the couple lived between Rifle and Leadville. Her husband died in 2001. She moved to Craig in 2007 to be near her daughter. Elaine Bradley was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leadville and more recently a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Craig. She also belonged to the St. Michael Altar and Rosary Society and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed singing, reading and crocheting. Bradley was survived by her daughters Susan Bradley of Craig, Mary (Glen) Gerbitz of Longmont, and Alice (David) Davidson of Silt; her sons Willard (Roberta) Bradley of Arvada, Clifford (Debbie) Bradley of Aurora, Charles Bradley of Denver, Phillip Bradley of Leadville, Carl Bradley of Mebane, N.C., John (Julie) Bradley of Antwerp, Ohio, Michael Bradley of Leadville, James (Lori) Bradley of Mexico City, Mexico, and Christopher (Kim) Bradley of San Angelo, Texas; 24 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willard, her daughter Sally and her son Andrew. A rosary was recited on Wednesday, April 11, and funeral services were held on Thursday, April 12, both at St. Michael Catholic Church, in Craig. Fr. James Fox and Fr. Michael Rapp were the concelebrants at the Mass of Christian Burial. Cremation followed the service, and interment of her cremains took place on Friday, April 13, at St. Joseph Cemetery in Leadville. 2012
