DALPIAZ, Edna Beulah

Edna Beulah (Morlan) Dalpiaz died on April 27 in Ellensburg, Wash., near her daughter Beverly. She was born in Branson, to Edmond and Beulah (Quinn) Morlan on May 20, 1921. She was the second of five children. The family lived in Rainbow Park and Wetmore. Two of her brothers, Buck Morlan and Clarence Morlan, and her sister, Velma Alessi, are deceased. Jesse James Morlan survives her. She married Charles C. Dalpiaz on October 20, 1938, and they raised five children while living in the Florence and Leadville areas. Dalpiaz liked to sew and read. Her work experience was in restaurants as a cook and baker. During retirement she resided in Salida, Alamosa, Montrose and Washington. In her last years she also lived at The Bridge in Alamosa. She is survived by her children: Charles E. Dalpiaz, Cedaredge; Beverly Laub, Ellensburg, Wash.; Sylvia Hagan, Salida; and Virginia Clegg, Ft. Jones, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Dalpiaz, and her daughter, Beulah Sjoden. There are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her remains were placed in the VFW section of the Alamosa Municipal Cemetery next to her husband. A short graveside service was held on Saturday, May 19, at 1 p.m. followed by a reception at The Bridge at 3407 Carroll Street in Alamosa. 2012
