Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County) Mar 20, 1908 Page 5 DIED JOHNSON--In Longmont, at the home of her son, L. O. Munson of pneumonia, Tuesday, March 17, 1908, Mrs. Mildred M Johnson, aged 66 years 9 months and 16 days. Another good woman has answered the last call of this world, and a noble Christian woman has gone to her eternal home. Those who knew her best will agree with us when we say that if all human beings could be as kind and thoughtful of others as Mrs. Johnson, trouble would be scarce. We have known her personally for a good many years, and have respected her very much for her man y good qualities. She was one of the leading members of the Christian Science church of Longmont, and a woman of unusual business abilities. Mildred M. Parmelee was born at Charon, Ohio, Jan 1, 1841. She was married to Amos Munson Sept. 4, 1862, Mr. Munson dying April 19, 1877, leaving one son of their marriage. She married Samuel Davis of Highlandlake and lived near there for a number of years. Mr. Davis passed away and about June 1884, Mrs. Davis married J. C. Johnson, living with him for eight years when he, too passed to the great beyond. Mrs. Johnson has lived with the family of her son for a number of years. Some of the grandchildren have been away at school, but are all expected home soon. She was a sister of Frank Parmelee. Funeral services will be conducted from the residence Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock. A Christian Science reader will take a part in them, and the Rev. D. A. Strong will also be present.
