SHOE-In Colton, California, Saturday, June 21, 1902, Dr. Rueben L. Shoe, aged 55 years.
It is nearly six years since Dr. Shoe and his family came to this city, hoping this climate would retard the progress of his disease, which was tuberculosis.  He was greatly benefited for several years and then sought relief in California, where the end came.  He made a brave fight for life all these years and was always cheerful and hopeful.  He leaves a devoted wife and daughter, who have the warm sympathies of their numerous friends in Longmont.
