CANIS--At Sharon, Wisconsin, Friday, May 27, 1898, Sophia, wife of H. J. Canis of Longmont, aged 34 years, 8 months and 3 days.
Mrs. Canis has been a suffer from pulmonary complaint for some time, and when it became known to her that she could not recover, she expressed a desire to be taken to her old home at Sharon.  In accordance with her wishes, her husband started with her on April 7th last, to the home of her parents.
The remains were interred beside a son, who died before Mr. and Mrs. Canis came to Colorado.  Her husband and one little son survive her.
