Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County) Nov 18, 1898 Page 3 Death of Michael Fehmel A postal has been received by a citizen of Longmont, which reads as follows; APEX, COLO., NOV. 11, 1898 Dear Sir;--Just received a letter from St. Jacob, Ill., saying that Mike Fehmel died Tuesday, Nov 8th, just two weeks from the day he reached home, of lung fever. Your friend------ Mike Fehmel has lived eight or nine years in Colorado, and was well known in Longmont. He left here for a visit at his old home. He leaves a wife and three children, one a baby about four months old.
