Y., April 11, 1830, near Saranac Lake and died in Longmont, Colo., Jan. 3, 1905. Mr. Gould moved with his parents to Monroe Wis., in 1850. Aug. 4th 1853 he was united in marriage to Jane Broadbent of Juda, Wisconsin. From this union there was born 12 children, 9 girls and 3 boys, 3 girls and 1 boys have passed on before. Mr. Gould was survived by 8 children and 26, grandchildren, 2 brothers and one sister. While not a member of a church, he was a Christian man, kind in his home life, and tried to bring up his children in accordance with Christian teaching. He was one of those who were driven out of Missouri during the civil war. He was warned by the Confederacy that he must get out in 20 hours or pay $100 to the confederacy or enlist. He went to Frostville Minn., where he was a wagon maker.
