Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado) Friday, May 20, 1904 Page 1 DIED SUMMERS--In Longmont, Saturday, May 14, 1904, of paralysis, Philip Summers, aged about 70 years. Mr. Summers came to Denver from Chicago about thirty years ago. About ten years later moved to a ranch northwest of Highlandlake and about four miles from Berthoud. Here he has lived a quiet life. His wife died eleven years ago and he has tried to bring up his family along. He leaves four children, three daughters and one son. The oldest being a daughter eighteen years of age and lives in Chicago. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Tuesday, after which the Modern Woodmen took charge of the remains and held their service at the grave.
