Suicide of John J. Flood
John J. Flood, aged 23, whose parents live in Philadelphia, and whose father is said to be the city engineer there, died this morning from the effects of bromidia which he drank in an undertaking establishment in Boulder Saturday night.
Flood entered the Buchheit undertaking establishment last evening and remarked to Ben Holly, who was in charge that he would step into the back room and get a drink of water. He appeared to be under the influence of liquor. In a few months Holly heard something fall heavily and found Flood unconscious on the floor, with several empty bromidia viale by his side. How much of the drug he took is not known.
Flood was unconscious from the time he was removed to the hospital--Saturday’s Denver Republican.
Mr. Flood was known to a number of Longmont people, having lived here previous to going to Boulder.
