News has been received by L. H. Dickson, Adjutant of McPherson Post No 6 GAR of the death of Wm. Barney at St. Louis. Mr. Barney was an old resident of Longmont and has many friend here now. The cause was acute Brights disease. He was over 80 years of age.
The remains are expected by F.R. Shaw and Co today for interment in Longmont cemetery.
