CONNORS, Jo Ellen

Jo Ellen Connors, 79, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 23,[2011] at her home in Buena Vista. She was born Feb. 1, 1932, in Victor to Verl and Mae Tucker. She moved with her family to Leadville in 1933. She married Francis Connors on July 15, 1951, in Leadville, and they spent 59 years together. She and her family moved to Buena Vista in 1980. Connors enjoyed lake fishing both in the summer and winter. She was an avid crafts person, loved picnics and is said to have made the best potato salad. She enjoyed watching football and baseball on TV. Connors was preceded in death by her parents and brother Walter (Wally) Tucker. She is survived by her husband Francis; daughters Leah Kathleen Cerise, Buena Vista, Leslie Katherine (Allyn) Connors-Setter, Grand Junction, and Kimberlee Lorrine (Cameron) Connors-Walsh, Colorado Springs; her brother Grover (Martha) Tucker, Tucson, Ariz.; her sister Malene (George) Fields, Phoenix, Ariz.; her grandchildren Theresa (Will) Reed and Timothy Setter, Grand Junction; and great-grandchildren Hunter and Ashton. Cremation was chosen, and no services are planned at this time. Friends who desire may make memorial contributions to the Jo Ellen Medical Fund through Collegiate Peaks Bank, P.O.
