CHANDLER--In Longmont, Tuesday, March 14, 1905, of grippe and abcess of the brain, Frederick J. Chandler, aged 76 years.
Mr. Chandler was a native of New Hampshire, where he spent his younger days. IN early manhood he went with the first settlers to Nebraska and took on a claim on the very spot where the city of Fremont now stands. He afterwards sold out and returned to New Hampshire. From his trips to Colorado he learned how to irrigate, and it is claimed he had the only irrigated farm in New England. Mr. Chandler was a successful business man who prided himself on this thrift, intelligence and honesty for his accumulations. His relatives are: His wife, Clara, and sister, Eleanor T. Beckwith.
Funeral services will be held at the home of O. F. Beckwith at 2:30 p.m. Friday (today).
