BALLINGER--At Idaho Springs, Saturday, Feb 11, 1905, a suicide, Isaac Ballinger aged 51 years and 10 months.
Mr. Ballinger was in poor health and it is supposed that in a fit of depression of spirits took carbolic acid.
He was one of the early pioneers of this section, having taken up a claim in the early days near Mt. Zion church where he reared his family.
He has been married three times and leaves three children, al by his first wife: one son at Platteville and two daughters at Leyden.
Mr. Ballinger was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Platteville. Longmont Lodge by request turned out in a body and took charge of the remains after funeral services were held at the M. E. church by Rev. M. McCormick of Berthoud assisted by Dr. Mayo.
