I am not related to this family… Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado) Dec 18, 1908 Page 7 DIED TOWNLEY--At her home on Bross street, Monday morning, December 14, 1908, of general debility, Mrs. Sarah Townley, aged 87 years. Another “mother in Israel” has gone to her eternal home. She has lived her life, and from the report of those who knew and loved her she has lived it well. She with her husband came to Longmont with the colony I 1871. For a part of the time they lived in Denver, but Mr. Townley passing away two years ago, Mrs. Townley came back to Longmont to be near her children. She has generally enjoyed the best of health, but failed very recently. She leaves three sons, Jones, George and John, and two daughters, Miss Sally Townley and Mrs. Thomas Howard. Mrs. J. M. Mumford was also a daughter, but she has passed to the life beyond. Funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Victor F. Brown.
