Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado) Aug 10, 1900 Page 3 DIED PORTER--In Longmont, Tuesday 8, 1900, of paralysis, Ort Vantile Porter, age 66 years and 11 months and 22 days. Mr. Porter has been sick for several weeks with the trouble that finally caused his death. He was born in Ohio and married Buchanan, Michigan forty-three years ago the 17th of next month. Ten children were born to them, four sons and six daughters, of which only two sons and one daughter are living, besides the wife. He has been successful in the restaurant business, and will be missed in the circle in which he moved. Funeral services were held in the undertaking rooms of F. R. Shaw & Co. Thursday morning at 10 o’clock, conducted by Rev. A. W. Liggitt.
