BOZE, Robert Franklin

Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado) Oct 7, 1921 Page 5 DIED BOZE--At his home in Longmont, early Tuesday morning, October 4, 1921. Robert Franklin Boze, aged 66 years, 1 month and 3 days. Frank Boze, as he was known by his many friends, was born in Liberty, Wayne County, Mo., Sept 1, 1855, and came to Longmont in 1878. His work thru the years, for he has lived in Longmont since the time mentioned, has been largely among horses. He has practiced widely in the district as a veterinary from the time he came to Longmont, and has been largely self-educated. His love for horses has been the cause of many a hard night’s work to save a suffering animal. Mr. Boze has been in the coal business, a large share of the time, and in the early days, before the water system of Longmont had been established he hauled and sold water for domestic use from the creek and the Fox ditch, by the barrel. This was before 1882. He has also been in the transfer business and for several years had run a bus or stage to and from the sugar factory for the benefit of the working man. Mr. Boze was a man who made friends and kept them, especially did he love the children, and would stop and take them in when out with his rig when most men would ignore them.
