Mrs. Smith was the wife of Dr. Geo. E. Smith, physician and surgeon, who practiced for several years in Niwot. She was born April 6, 1859, in New York state. For the past two years Dr. and Mrs. Smith made their home with Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Tracey at 821 Main street, coming here from Dillon, Colo., where Dr. Smith was also a practicing physician. Mrs. Smith was taken ill with appendicitis about a week ago and an operation was performed in the hope of saving her life. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from ?? Funeral home, conducted by Silver Spruce Rebekah Lodge No 6, I. O. O. F.
