Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County) Feb 25, 1911 Page 5 Died. MARTIN--In Longmont, Thursday morning, February 23, 1911, Samuel Martin, aged 54 years. Sam Martin was found dead in his bed at the Willows Hotel yesterday morning. He had gone to bed apparently as well as usual for him. Mr. Martin was born in Canada, but came to Longmont from Boulder. His wife is dead and he has been father and mother to his children as they grew up. He has been working in the bakery now known as the Macklem bakery. Mr. Martin had an operation for cancer of the liver last October and has don no work since. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Earl Kinney at Marshallfield, Oregon, a son John in Denver who could not be located yesterday; and a son Fred somewhere in Oregon. He was a member of Loyal Americans and Home Guardians.
