COSSEBOOM, Ernestine L.

Ernestine L. Cosseboom died Monday, Oct. 24, at Highline Rehabilitation and Community Care in Denver. She was 96 years old. She was born in Leadville on Dec. 25, 1913. Her parents were the late Anton and Apolonia (Grebenc) Mehle. After graduating from Leadville High School, she married Glenn H. Cosseboom. Cossaboom loved playing bridge, knitting, crocheting, reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was active in the Rebekah Lodge and belonged to the 1st Presbyterian Church in Leadville. Cosseboom was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, who died in 1998; two sisters, Paula and Ludmillia, and three brothers, John, Tony and Walter Mehle. She is survived by one sister, Sylvia Soderberg, Spokane, Wash.; nieces Darlyne Fuller, Denver, Cynthia (Dennis) Deboer, Littleton, Janet (Dennis) Oltmann, Westminster and Judy Mehle, Loveland; and her sister-in-law, Jeanette Mehle, Leadville. According to her wishes, Cosseboom was cremated and she will be laid to rest next summer in Leadville. Graveside services will be announced at that time. Arrangements are being handled by Bailey Funeral Home.
