MOYER, Anne


12/24/2009 Anne Moyer, 87, died Dec 18, 2009. She was born March 10, 1922, in Superior, Wyo., to Marko Knezovich and Francis Tomianovich. She attended Superior High School and later married Russell Moyer. After working in the coal mines, the Moyers moved to Colorado in September 1955. Anne Moyer was employed by the Catholic Church Annunciation Parish, maintaining the rectory, church and St. Mary's School. She also worked for the Denver Post where she delivered papers daily in the Leadville area for 35 years. Moyer was a member of the Catholic Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed having friends and family over for visits and loved cooking for them. Moyer loved the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing and hunting both in Wyoming and Colorado. Moyer enjoyed animals and frequently found herself naming them. She loved looking in the mountains for elk and deer. Although Moyer was not fond of the cold winters, her favorite time of year was always Christmas. The house would be filled with baked goods and the Christmas lights on to illuminate the block. She enjoyed having friends and family over for visits and loved cooking for them. Moyer was preceded in death by her husband, Russell H. Moyer, her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Moyer is survived by her four children, James (Rebecca) Moyer of Leadville; Kathleen (Ken) Sheets of Rifle; Danny (Hannah) Moyer of Rifle; and Joanne (Dane) Dillon of Wichita, Kan. She is also survived by her sister Helen of Rock Springs, Wyo.; and two sisters-in-law, Olga Knezovich and Lola Knezovich, both of Rock Springs, Wyo. Moyer is survived by grandchildren Jill (Clay) LeBet of Greeley; Sgt. Shane (Specialist Kristi) Moyer; Ft. Campbell, Ky.; Todd Moyer, Leadville; Kody (Desirey) Sheets, Kremmling; Kevin (Keshia) Sheets, of Rifle; Kyle Sheets, Rifle; Jamie Leatherwood, Ft. Collins; Jeff (Karmela) Moyer, Carr; Meagan (Phillip) Rutter, Caton, Minn.; Staff Sgt. Shawn (Kristal) Dillon, Ottowa, Kan., and Dustin Dillon of Wichita, Kan.; 14 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Rosary was held at Annunciation Church, Leadville, on Tuesday, Dec 22, and the funeral was Wednesday Dec. 23. In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated to Hospice of the Valley, P.O.
