Ertel Funeral Home Cortez, Colorado Bonnie Loyce "Betty"(Miller) Davis (Aug. 13, 1944 - Sep. 12, 2004 Funeral services for lifelong Cortez resident, Bonnie "Betty" Loyce Davis will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. Betty was born on Aug. 13, 1944 in Pagosa Springs, Colo., the daughter of Carlton and Iva Eloise (Coen) Miller. She passed away on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004 in Tacoma, Wash. Betty was 60 years old. Betty went to the Montezuma Cortez High School and later attended the San Juan Basin Vo-Tech. She worked for 17 years in the county clerk's office, and was a member of the Cortez Lioness Club and then the Lions Club. Surviving Betty are her children, Kelly, Michael and Brian Davis; as well as her mother, Eloise Miller of Tacoma, Wash. She leaves seven grandchildren; and her sisters, Carlene Johnson of Tacoma, Wash., and Darlene Carlson of Bullhead City, Ariz. Preceding her in death was her father, Carlton Miller. Services are under the direction of the Ertel Funeral Home.
