Greeley Tribune (Greeley, Weld County) Date: Jan 14, 1897 Page 8 MRS JAMES TINKER At the family residence Monday, Mrs. James Tinker died after a long and painful illness of chronic diarrhea. Deceased came from New Jersey last spring and soon after her arrival at Greeley she became the wife of James Tinker who ranches near the Buell school house. The altitude proved too severe and she, after a lingering illness of several months, succumbed to the complaint that afflicted her. Mrs. Tinker was a woman of liberal mind and possessed a kind heart. She was highly esteemed by friends and neighbors and her husband has the sympathy of all who know him, in the death of his estimable wife. The funeral will take place from her late residence this afternoon, the Rev. Arthur Phelps officiating, and the remains will be laid to rest in Linn Grove.
