Greeley Tribune (Greeley, Weld County); Date: Sept 21, 1899 Page 8 Death of Mrs. Mary Sipperly Mrs. Sipperly died in this city Monday morning at the residence of her son H. D. Sipperly, from ailments incident to old age. She was born near Troy, N.Y., Aug 21, 1821. She came to Greeley in 1883, and lived with her daughter Mrs. M.A. Davis, then with her son Herman. She was a fine representative of American womanhood. During her residence in this city she made friends on every side by her dignified bearing, gentle manners, and courteous treatment of all, and her death is sincerely mourned by those friends. The funeral was held from her son’s residence yesterday morning, the Rev. RJ Hunter of the Presbyterian church officiating, and the remains were interred at Linn Grove. Four children are left to mourn the loss of loving mother; Mrs. Emma A. Davis, and Albert F. Sipperly of Denver, Herman D. of this city; and Ellis M. of Saratoga, NY.
