Greeley Tribune (Greeley, Weld County) Sept 21, 1899 Page 8 Death of Mrs Marie Von Gohren All that remains on earth of Mrs. Von Gohren was brought to Greeley Tuesday noon and interred at Linn Grove, the Rev. R.J. Hunter conducting the last sad rites. For years Mrs. Von Gohren with her husband Ludwig, and children, resided in Greeley, and during her residence here she was love by old and young. Born in German, she inherited the good qualities and traits of character that for ages has made German womanhood a synonym for domesticity, virtue and love of family. The past three years she has resided with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. And Mrs. WJ Childs, at Fort Collins and during that time has been afflicted with stomach trouble terminating in death from cancer, Monday. Three children durvive her, Mrs. W. J. Childs, Edwin E. Von Gohren, of Denver, and Ernest of Washington state. Mr. And Mrs. Von Gohren were members of Union colony.
