GOYN, Frank

Boulder Daily Camera 4 April 1894 pg. 1 FRANK GOYN KILLED Struck by the Falling Walls and Timbers of a Marshall Shaft. Coroner Trezie was summoned to Marshall last evening by the news of a fatal accident to Frank Goyn, formerly of Ni Wot but recently engaged by Rosser & Son in the Marshall No. 5 shaft. Goyn was working in a chamber just examined, sounded and left by Rosser and sons, who had been gone out about a minute and a half when the timbers gave way and the roof fell in, crushing Goyn and killing him instantly. The dead man left a wife and three children. He was a brother of Mrs. Al Titus and Mrs. William Johnson of this place and an industrious and honest citizen. Coroner Trezie looked into the case and concluded that there was no necessity of putting the county to the expense of an inquest so none was ordered.
