"OBITUARY
Thursday afternoon at 2 0'clock from
the Congregational church occurred the
funeral of Mrs. Anna Hunick, Rev. G.
A. Ellis conducting the service.
Mrs. Hunick was born at Trenton, N.
J., March 20 18?1, and moved with her
parents to Cedar county, Iowa, in 18?8.
She was married to Charles H. Hunick
in 1871, and in 1879 the family moved to
Kansas, going from there to Oklahoma
in 1883, and coming to Yampa in 1910.
These changes of residence were made
on account of the ill health of Mrs. Hu-
nick, and the first years in Colorado she
seemed to improve, but during the past
year has been failing, and about seven
weeks ago it was thought best to take
her to the Yampa hospital for an opera-
tion, but after examination the doctors
decided not to operate.
She leaves a husband and five chil-
dren, Mrs. Louisa Covert, Tulsa, Okla.,
Mrs. Shirley Margerum, Watonga, Okla.,
John Hunick, Shawnee, Okla., Bert W.
Hunick and Mrs. Blanche Miller, Yam-
pa, to mourn her decease. The husband
and children were all present and as
Mrs. Hunick was conscious up to a few
hours before her death, which occurred
Wednesday morning, this was a great
consolation to her.
Mrs. Hunick was a member of the
United Brethred church and a fine
christian character. A kind and loving
wife and mother, and during her resi-
dence in Yampa she won the love and
regard of all her friends and neighbors
by her unfailing sweetness of manner
and the sympathy of all is with the be-
reaved family. Although suffering great-
ly during the past year, she was always
cheerful and ever had a kind and en-
couraging word for those about her, and
her sweet faith in the blessings of
Heaven will always be a source of conso-
lation to those by whose ????side she is
only in spirit.
There is no death; The stars go down
To rise upon some other shore,
And bright in Heaven's jeweled crown
They shine forevermore."
