"Obituary
Ethel Viola Palmer was born at
Golden, Colo., July 6, 1882, and de-
parted this life February 13, 1919,
at the age of 36 years, 7 months
and 7 days. She led a very brilliant
and useful career in this life. She
graduated from Golden High school
in May, 1902 and attended the State
Normal college at Greeley, Colorado,
for a number of terms. She has
taught in the public schools of the
state for years, and at the time of
her death was teaching near Brigh-
ton. She was a member of Loch-
Lomond Grange, the Rebecca Ledge
and the Fiedlis clud, and also a
member of the Red Cross, and re-
gardless of the strenuous duties of
her educational life, she found time
to do much work for this organiza-
tion. She was a young woman of
noble character, possessing many
sterline qualities. She was kind,
loving, useful and self-sacrificing,
ever thougful of the comfort and
welfare of others. By her death,
Golden and vicinity was lost one of
its noblest residents. She leaves to
mourn her loss a father, mother, two
sisters, Mrs. Mabel Risdon, residing
at Maple Grove and Miss Lillian
Palmer, who lives at home with her
parents and a brother, Roy Palmer,
of Countess, Alberta, Canada, be-
sides a large number of other rela-
tives and friends. -A Friend."
