[1916 Dec 28 Gilpin Observer, Central City, CO] DIES IN CALIFORNIA ——— News of the death of Mrs. Carl C. Anderson, which occurred in Los Angeles, Cal., on Sunday, resulted in a sad Christmas for the relatives living in Black Hawk and Central. Mrs. Anderson was Marie Strausser before her marriage during the years she resided in Black Hawk was a favorite at many social functions, being a singer of exceptional talent. She was 37 years of age and was a daughter of Mrs. Catherine Strausser, a sister of Frank Strausser, both of Black Hawk, and a sister of Mrs. John Lemkuhl, of this city. The remains will be brought here for burial and are expected to arrive Friday evening. The funeral will be held Sunday morning from the Catholic church.
