ANTON TESADRIA
[1904 Aug 18 Gilpin Observer]
A FATAL ACCIDENT.
An Austrian Miner Killed at the Old Town Mine.
Anton Tesadria, an Austrian miner, was crushed to death last evening while working at the Old Town mine. He was working on the surface and attempting to drop an empty tramway car down the track in order to get it below the ore chute so it could be filled, and after he let off the brake he must have lost control of the car and in some unaccountable way got caught between it and the ore chute, and the force of the moving car crushed the life out of him. Coroner Asquith was called, but he does not deem an inquest necessary. The remains were brought by the undertaker to this city. Tesadria was about 26 years of age. He has been in this country two years and nine months. As we go to press no funeral arrangements have been made, but the funeral will probably occur from the Church of the Assumption, under the auspices of the Catholica Tirolese society of which he was a member.
