Michael Larry Bullard, 67, died Dec. 7, 2006, at his home in Wagoner, Okla.
He was born to William and Ophelia (Burch) Bullard in Wilburton, Okla., Aug. 26, 1939.
Mr. Bullard was a graduate of Wilburton High School. He was a truck driver and began driving trucks at the age of 19 in California. Later, he moved to Colorado where he owned a combination Feed Store, Pet Shop and Shoe, Saddle and Tack Shop.
Mr. Bullard met and married Virginia in Colorado Aug. 10, 1999. He later returned to the trucking industry and became a truck driving instructor at Central Votech in Drumwright, Okla., where he retired in 2002.
He and Virginia built their dream home in Wagoner near Taylor's Ferry and lived there for the past two years.
Mr. Bullard enjoyed fishing, antiquing and gardening and grew beautiful tomatoes. He was an avid coin collector who enjoyed metal detecting. He was highly involved in politics and worked in campaign elections. He was a smart, gifted individual who could fix or build anything.
He was a wonderful husband, daddy and papa who will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Survivors are his wife, Virginia of the home; four children, Tammy Cleveland of Silver Springs, Nev.; Danny Bullard of Colorado, Valerie Relaford and Tina Fox, both of Salida; brother, Conrad L. (Wilma) Mitchell of Sapulpa, Okla.; sister, Linda (Gary) Lewis of Littleton; 11 grandchildren, nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Winston Bullard.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Dec. 11, 2006, at Shipman Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Marvel Barron officiating. Burial was in the Pioneer Cemetery in Wagoner, Okla.
Services and arrangements were directed by Shipman Funeral Home and Crematory, Wagoner.
