SWIFT, Kent Larimer

Kent Larimer Swift, 87, died Sept. 14, 2006. She was born June 11, 1919, and raised in Salida with two brothers, Shale and Rick Smith. Mrs. Swift and eleven of her high school girl friends formed the infamous Twiddle Twaddle Twelve (TTT). They have remained close friends for more than 60 years. She married her high school sweetheart, George Swift, in 1939 in Houston, Texas, and raised their three sons in Tyler, Texas. In 1999 she became a resident of The Terrace at Willowbrook in Houston, where she lived for the past seven years. Survivors are her sons, Steve (Lynn) Swift of Jakarta, Indonesia, and Dennis (Gloria) Swift of Houston; granddaughter, Jackie of Tyler; grandsons, Brett and Chris of Houston and Graham (Miriam) of Atlanta, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her son, Terry; granddaughter, Kelly and brother, Shale Smith. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Sept. 16, 2006, in the chapel of Klein Funeral Home, Spring, Texas. Graveside services were held at 4 p.m. Sept. 16, 2006, at Cathedral in the Pines cemetery in Tyler. Mountain Mail
