Kenneth O.
Kenneth O. Crisman died Dec. 24, 2006, at St. Thomas More Hospital in CaƱon City.
He was born Oct. 17, 1927, to Roy and Grace Crisman in Wagner, S.D. as the fourth of nine children.
After gradation from Wagner High School, he joined the U.S. Army and was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne.
He married Laura Bachholz June 3, 1950, in Wagner.
He moved to Salida in March 1952 to work for the REA power company. He joined Public Service Co. of Colorado (Xcel) in June 1953 and was a lineman until his retirement in 1993.
He was a past exalted ruler of the Elks, past Salida City Councilman and a member of the Masons, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
He enjoyed travel, reading and crossword puzzles.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Laura, of Salida; daughters, Janella (Duane) Glovan, Salida; Jackie Crisman, Columbus, Texas; Jodeen Crisman, Anadarko, Okla.; Jill Crisman, Tulare, Calif.; Joan Crisman, Salida and a son, Jeff (Jodi) Crisman, Fairborne, Ohio; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy Sr., and Roland, both of Wagner; Melton, Rapid City, S.D.; Burton, Grand Junction; Clark, Vinton, Iowa and a sister, Betty Nesby, Aberdeen, S.D.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, two sisters, daughters Janette and Jerri and great-grandson, Eason.
At his request, no services will be held and his remains were cremated.
The family requests no food or flowers. Memorials can be made to a charity of choice.
