THEOTOKATOS, George L.

George L. Theotokatos, 77, died peacefully Dec. 26, 2006, at the Hospice of Saint John in Lakewood, after a long and brave battle with cancer. He was born to Sam and Mary Theotokatos in Salida Oct. 11, 1929. Mr. Theotokatos graduated from Salida High School in 1947, attended Pueblo Junior College and served in the U.S. Navy before returning to Salida to assist his dad with running Sam's Country Club. He married Frances Newman of Salida in 1960 and they had a daughter, Deb, in 1961. He also had a son, Paul, in 1957. For more than 30 years, he worked as general manager of a Salida construction company and did bookkeeping for several Salida businesses. After moving to Golden in 1990, he worked as office manager for a heating, ventilation and air conditioning company until he retired in 1999. Throughout his life, he brought happiness to all who knew him. Survivors are his wife, Frances, of Golden; daughter, Deb Theotokatos of Houston, Texas; son, Paul Parris and granddaughters, Tiffany and Brittany Parris, all of Benton, Ark.; sister, Katherine Flora of Boise, Idaho; nephew, Don Flora of Boise, Idaho; niece, Jane Purser of Tulsa, Okla. and niece, Kris Miller of Boulder.
