ASH, Dr. John Arthur

Dr. John Arthur Ash, 86, died Dec. 29, 2006, at his home in Salida. He was born Jan. 11, 1920, in Denver to John Marion and Anne (Peterson) Ash. Dr. Ash was the husband for 65 years of Salida-born Agnes Ash, who died in October 2005. He freely shared his skills in healing bodies and mending spirits of those in need. He served in the U.S. Army and was past president of the Arizona Medical Association. In their later years, Dr. Ash and Agnes enjoyed traveling the world. Survivors are four children, John, Judy, Charles and Stephen. He was the grandfather of eight and the great-grandfather of four. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.
