Janice Kay Gregory, 58, the daughter of Glenn and Donna (Anderson) Bartels was born Nov. 11, 1947, in Superior, Neb. She passed away on Aug. 23, 2006, at Evergreen Life Center, Evergreen, Colo., after a ten-month battle against brain cancer.
Janice graduated from Deshler High School in 1965. She graduated from Grand Island School of Business in 1966. She was united in marriage to Jerry W. Gregory on June 4, 1967, at Peace Lutheran Church. This union was blessed with two sons, Patrick and Christopher.
Throughout her life she enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, camping, bowling and sewing. She always considered her family the top priority in her life and was a dedicated wife and mother.
Her father, Glenn, preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, Donna Bartels of Deshler, Neb.; her husband, Jerry of Bailey, Colo.; two children, Patrick (Amanda) Gregory of Longmont, Colo.; and Christopher Gregory of Rapid City, SD; one grandson, Jayden Deichert of Sioux Falls, SD; a sister, Connie (Robert) Rogers of Napa, Calif.; one sister-in-law, Judy (Jack) Pagel of Omaha, Neb; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Janice was cremated, and a memorial service was held with Pastor Beth Graham, Risen Lord Lutheran Church officiating.
Memorials may be sent to the family at 88 Park Way, Bailey, CO 80421 and they will later forward to an appropriate brain cancer research organization.
