Frank Wesley
Frank Wesley Yones died Wednesday, Feb. 14, at his home near Leadville. He was 56 years old.
He was born in Leadville on Sept. 25, 1950. His parents were the late Frank J. and Elizabeth M. (Smith) Yones.
Yones went to school at St. Mary's Catholic School and graduated from Lake County High School. He then went on to Colorado Mountain College and became a civil-engineering draftsman.
Yones served in the U.S. Air Force from 1971 to 1975.
He enjoyed drafting, reading books, listening to talk radio and working around his home. He was in the process of remodeling his home at Lake Fork.
Above all, Yones loved the mountains. After growing up in Leadville he moved down to Denver, where he lived for several years before returning, in 1999, to the mountains of Leadville.
Yones was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Diana (Rusty) Bruch of Gillette, Wyo.; brother Dale Lee Yones, Longmont; and his niece and nephew, Pamela and Jeremey Bruch, also in Gillette, Wyo.
Services will be planned for later this spring.
Arrangements are being handled by Bailey Funeral Home.
