Bohlender Funeral Chapel, Fort Collins, Colorado Kenneth Coleman McGrew of Wellington, Colo., formerly of Walden, Colo., age 89, died at his home on Dec. 5, 2007. He was born on June 27, 1918, near Ault in Weld County, Colorado, to Robert and Lillian Williams McGrew. He graduated from Gill High School in 1935. Ken married Ruth Marie Anderson on July 6, 1941 in Walden. They were married for over 66 years. Kenneth was proud to be a military veteran. He graduated from OCS and served as an officer in the US Army from 1942 until 1945. Although he worked as a school custodian, Union Pacific Depot Agent, and ambulance driver in his career, his true profession was as a wholesale grocery salesman throughout Colorado and Wyoming for Pacific Fruit and Asher Wyoming companies. He loved to dance, play cards with friends, and refinish furniture. Ken moved with his wife, Ruth, to Wellington in 2003 after living in Walden in the same home for 56 years. He was a longtime member of the Laramie, Wyo., Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Ruth; his sons, Stan and wife, Susan, of Wellington, and Dan and wife, Jeannie of Fort Collins; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services with military honors by the Ft. Collins All Veterans Honor Guard were held on Dec. 8, 2007. Graveside services were held Dec. 10, in Walden at the Jackson County Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Ken's name to the North Park Pioneer Museum in Walden through Bohlender Funeral Chapel, 121 W. Olive, Fort Collins, Colo., 80524.
